Production-Ready Tech Packs Designed for Real Manufacturing

A Tech Pack Is More Than a Document

If you're preparing to develop a new apparel product, one of the most important investments you can make is a well-built tech pack.

A professional tech pack gives your pattern maker, sample room, and factory the information they need to understand your product and develop it correctly.

But creating a tech pack isn't just about documenting your design.

It's about preparing your product for development and manufacturing.

At Human B, we create production-ready tech packs backed by decades of hands-on experience in apparel development, sourcing, and production management. Every tech pack is built with one goal in mind: helping your product move through development with greater clarity, fewer revisions, and less guesswork.

Why Your Tech Pack Matters

Many founders believe they're ready to start sampling because they have sketches, inspiration images, or a clear idea of what they want to create.

Unfortunately, that's rarely enough.

Factories can't manufacture ideas.

Pattern makers can't build assumptions.

Every person involved in your project needs clear technical information to understand exactly what they're expected to make.

When that information is incomplete or unclear, it often leads to:

• Samples that don't match your vision

• Constant questions from the factory

• More sample revisions

• Delays in development

• Higher development costs

A well-developed tech pack creates a shared language between you and the people bringing your product to life.

What Makes Human B Different?

A Tech Pack Doesn't Make a Product. It Makes a Product Possible.

There are many companies that create tech packs.

Most focus on creating drawings and filling out templates.

We take a different approach.

Our philosophy has always been:

Design With Production in Mind.

Every tech pack we create is built around one question:

What information does the next person in the process need to successfully develop this product?

That means we're thinking beyond the document itself.

We're considering:

  • Pattern development

  • Garment construction

  • Fit

  • Sampling

  • Factory communication

  • Production requirements

Because a tech pack isn't the final product.

It's the foundation for everything that comes next.

Why Invest in a Professional Tech Pack?

A professionally developed tech pack can help reduce misunderstandings, improve communication with your development partners, and create a stronger foundation before investing in sampling and production.

It won't eliminate every challenge in product development, but it can significantly improve the clarity of the information everyone is working from.

That's why we don't think of a tech pack as paperwork.

We think of it as one of the most important tools in the product development process.

What Makes a Great Tech Pack?

A great tech pack does more than describe your design—it answers the questions your pattern maker, sample room, and factory need answered before they begin.

It should clearly communicate your product's construction, materials, measurements, finishes, and key details, reducing misunderstandings and helping everyone work from the same information.

At Human B, we create every tech pack with our philosophy in mind:

Design With Production in Mind.

Because a tech pack isn't just documentation - t's the foundation of a smoother development process.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to provide to start a tech pack?

The materials required depend on your product and its stage of development.

You may provide sketches, reference images, existing garments, patterns, samples, measurement specifications, fabric information, or other product documentation.

We'll review what you have and determine what additional information is needed before beginning the project.

Can you create a tech pack from a sketch or reference image?

Yes. Depending on the complexity of your product, we can develop a professional tech pack using sketches, reference images, or an existing sample.

Are measurement specifications included?

Yes. Base-size measurement specifications are included in every tech pack.

If you already have an approved pattern or sample, we can use it to create accurate specs.

Is grading included?

No. Grading is available as an additional service and is quoted separately based on the garment type and number of sizes.

How many revisions are included?

Each project includes two rounds of revisions.

Additional revisions or major design changes after approval can be quoted separately.

Can I use my own factory?

Absolutely.

Your completed tech pack is yours to use with any pattern maker, sample room, or manufacturer you choose.

Do I have to use Human B for production?

Not at all.

Our Tech Pack Development service is completely standalone.

However, if you decide you'd like support with sourcing, sampling, or production later, we're here to help.

What file formats will I receive?

Your final tech pack is delivered in both Excel and PDF formats.

Can you help after my tech pack is finished?

Yes.

Many clients continue working with us for product development, sourcing, sampling, production consulting, or production management.
